For over twenty years, CCPA staff has been credentialing and recredentialing physicians and over that time span staff have received multiple questions about credentialing.

Therefore, CCPA’s Credentialing Corner is all about credentialing and you.  The credentialing corner is set-up with the practice credentialing responsibilities and CCPA credentialing responsibilities.  CCPA's goal is to provide information and resources to help member practices improve and expedite the credentialing process.

What is credentialing?

The general definition of credentialing is the process of which an organization reviews and evaluates the qualifications and professional background of licensed professionals and practitioner organizations to ensure the delivery of quality care to its members or to provide care or for a health care organization.
