CCPA Board of Directors
CCPA board of directors are elected by CCPA members and comprised of seven CCPA physician members.
Ushma Patel, MD is the president of CCPA. Dr. Patel has been a member of CCPA since 2007. She practices at ABC Pediatrics in Naperville, IL. Dr. Patel graduated from Northwestern University Medical School and received her postgraduate training at The Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals. Dr. Patel has also served on the CCPA Quality Committee from 2011 - 2013.
Jonathan W. Necheles, MD is the vice-president of CCPA. He has been a member of CCPA since 2008. He practices at Children's Healthcare Associates in Chicago and Northbrook, IL. Dr. Necheles graduated from Pritzker School of Medicine at the University of Chicago and received his postgraduate training at the University of Michigan. Dr. Necheles is an Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics Community Based Primary Care at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
Guy R. Randolph, MD is the secretary and treasurer of CCPA. He has been a member of CCPA since 1999. He is a pediatric cardiologist and practices at Chicagoland Community Pediatric Cardiology in Chicago, Naperville, & Arlington Heights, IL. Dr. Randolph is a graduate of Baylor College of Medicine and received his postgraduate training at Baylor College of Pediatrics and fellowship in pediatric cardiology at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. Dr. Randolph is an Instructor of Clinical Pediatrics at Northwestern University of Feinberg School of Medicine.
Timothy A. Geleske, MD is the past president of CCPA. He has been a member of CCPA since 1999. He has served on the CCPA Quality Safety and Clinical Integration Committee since 2012. Dr. Geleske practices at North Arlington Pediatrics, SC in Arlington Heights, IL. Dr. Geleske is a graduate of Indiana University School of Medicine and received his postgraduate training from Children's Memorial Hospital. Dr. Geleske is an Assistant Professor in Clinical Pediatrics at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine.
Jennifer Ann Bevan, MD has been a member of CCPA since 2013. She has practiced at Lake Forest Pediatrics since 1999. Dr. Bevan is a graduate of Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, she received her postgraduate training at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Bevan also serves as an Instructor of Clinical Pediatrics Community Based Primary Care at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
Dov Shapiro, MD has served as president of CCPA. He has been a CCPA board member since 2010. He practices at Associated Pediatric Partners, SC in Northbrook and Buffalo Grove, IL. Dr. Shapiro is a graduate of the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and did his postgraduate training at Lutheran General Hospital.
Rebecca Unger, MD has been a director since 2003. Dr. Unger practices at Northwestern Children’s Practice in Chicago, IL. Dr. Unger graduated from Rush Medical College and received her postgraduate training at Children’s Memorial Hospital. Dr. Unger is also an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
Kena Norris, D.Sc., MJ, FACHE is the executive director of CCPA and CCPA Purchasing Partners. Dr. Norris joins CCPA/PP after five years as the Chief Operating Officer for the Illinois Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (ICAAP). Prior to her tenure at ICAAP, Dr. Norris served as executive management for other medical associations, including the Illinois Primary Health Care Association and the Illinois Health Education Consortium. She holds a Doctor of Science degree in Health Services Administration from The University of Alabama at Birmingham, a Master of Jurisprudence degree in Health Law and Policy from Loyola University in Chicago, and she is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
