CCPA Board of Directors

CCPA board of directors are elected by CCPA members and comprised of fourteen CCPA physician members.


Valerie Kimball, MD is the current president of CCPA.  She has been a director since 2013. Dr. Kimball practices at Chicago Area Pediatrics, formally known as Traismans, Benuck, Merens and Kimball in Evanston, IL. Dr. Kimball is a graduate of University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine. Dr. Kimball received her postgraduate training at Loyola University Medical Center and currently serves as an Assistant Professor in Clinical Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.


Jonathan W. Necheles, MD is the current vice-president of CCPA.  He has been a member of CCPA since 2008.  He practices at Children's Healthcare Associates in Chicago and Northbrook, IL.  Dr. Necheles graduated from Pritzker School of Medicine at the University of Chicago and received his postgraduate training at the University of Michigan.  Dr. Necheles is an Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatric Community Based Primary Care at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.


Michael Siegel, MD is the current secretary and treasurer of CCPA. He has been a director since 1996 and was president of the board from 2001-2003. He has been Treasurer of CCPA's Board since the beginning, the only exception being his time as President. Dr. Siegel practices at PediaTrust, LLC - Highland Park Pediatric Associates in Highland Park, IL. Dr. Siegel is a graduate of the University of Michigan Medical School and is an Instructor in Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.


Douglas Ashley, MD has been a member since 2013. He is a primary care pediatrician who currently practices at Lake Forest Pediatric Associates, Ltd., in Lake Bluff, IL. He is a graduate of Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine and received his postgraduate training at Loyola University Medical Center Department of Pediatrics. Dr. Ashley has held the position of Vice- Chief of the Department of Pediatrics of Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital and served as a member of the NLFH Quality Improvement subcommittee prior to that where he still serves. Dr. Ashley is also an Instructor of Clinical Pediatrics-Community-Based Primary Care at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.


Virginia DePaul, MD is the former president of CCPA (2011-2013). She has been a director since 2002. Dr. DePaul practices with North Suburban Pediatrics with locations in Evanston and Buffalo Grove IL. Dr. DePaul is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Medicine, and received her postgraduate training at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center and also worked as Chief Resident at Michael Reese Hospital. Dr. DePaul is an Instructor in Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.


Alison R. Gehle, MD has been a member of CCPA since 2008. She practices at Lakeview Pediatrics, LLC in Chicago, IL. Dr. Gehle is a graduate of the University of Michigan School of Medicine and received her postgraduate training at the University of California (San Francisco) Medical Center Department of Pediatrics. Dr. Gehle is an Instructor of Clinical Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.


Timothy A. Geleske, MD has been a member of CCPA since 1999. He has served on the CCPA Quality Safety and Clinical Integration Committee since 2012. Dr. Geleske practices at North Arlington Pediatrics, SC in Arlington Heights, IL. Dr. Geleske is a graduate of Indiana University School of Medicine and received his postgraduate training from Children's Memorial Hospital. Dr. Geleske is an Assistant Professor in Clinical Pediatrics at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine.


Mary C. Hall, MD has been a director since 2009. Dr. Hall is an owner of Kids Health Partners, LLC, a three-physician practice in Skokie, IL. She is a graduate of Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, and received her postgraduate training at St. Louis Children's Hospital and at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.


Ushma Patel, MD has been a member of CCPA since 2007. She practices at ABC Pediatrics in Naperville, IL. Dr. Patel graduated from Northwestern University Medical School and received her postgraduate training at The Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals. Dr. Patel has also served on the CCPA Quality Committee from 2011 - 2013.


Guy R. Randolph, MD has been a member of CCPA since 1999. He is a pediatric cardiologist and practices at Thomas J. Weigel, MD, SC in Chicago, Naperville, & Arlington Heights, IL. Dr. Randolph is a graduate of Baylor College of Medicine and received his postgraduate training at Baylor College of Pediatrics and fellowship in pediatric cardiology at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. Dr. Randolph is an Instructor of Clinical Pediatrics at Northwestern University of Feinberg School of Medicine.


Sheri Ross, MD has been a director since 2004. Dr. Ross is a member of PediaTrust, LLC - Lake Shore Pediatrics with locations in Lake Forest, Barrington and Libertyville, IL. Dr. Ross graduated from the School of Medicine at Michigan State University and received her postgraduate training at Children’s Memorial Hospital. Dr. Ross also serves as an Instructor in pediatrics at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine.


Dov Shapiro, MD has served as president of CCPA. He has been a CCPA board member since 2010. He practices at Associated Pediatric Partners, SC in Northbrook and Buffalo Grove, IL. Dr. Shapiro is a graduate of the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and did his postgraduate training at Lutheran General Hospital.


Susan Sirota, MD has been a director since 2008. Dr. Sirota practices at PediaTrust, LLC - Pediatric Partners, with locations in Highland Park and Vernon Hills, IL. She is a graduate of Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, and received her postgraduate training at Children’s Memorial Hospital where she also served as a Chief Resident in pediatrics. Dr. Sirota is an Assistant Professor in Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.


Rebecca Unger, MD has been a director since 2003. Dr. Unger practices at Northwestern Children’s Practice in Chicago, IL. Dr. Unger graduated from Rush Medical College and received her postgraduate training at Children’s Memorial Hospital. Dr. Unger is also an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.


Kena Norris, MJ, FACHE is the executive director of CCPA and CCPA Purchasing Partners. Kena joins CCPA/PP after five years as the Chief Operating Officer for the Illinois Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (ICAAP). Prior to her tenure at ICAAP, Kena served as executive management for other medical associations, including the Illinois Primary Health Care Association and the Illinois Health Education Consortium. Kena holds a Master of Jurisprudence in Health Law and Policy from Loyola University Chicago and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
